10 Ways to Make Ordering Prom Flowers a Breeze

With Prom season right around the corner, it is important to refresh on the how-to’s of ordering wearable floral pieces that complete your Prom look. Using this checklist as a guide when ordering, allows us to provide you with specialty, custom-designed pieces that will make your ensemble bloom!
Check out our guide below:
The Logistics
- Order in the store and in advance! This way we can and work together to design your dream flowers through a consultation. By ordering 2-3 weeks before your prom, we can be sure to have the variety and color of flower(s) perfect for your pieces.
- Coordinate with your date! By ordering together, we can design your pieces to match and ensure they coordinate with your attire.
- Know your planning information! Be ready to provide us with information on the name of the school whose prom you are attending, the date you will be needing the flowers, what time you would like to pick them up, a name and contact number for the order, and if you would like to pay in advance or upon pick-up. This information allows us to have your order ready when it is best for you.
- Know your color(s) and style! Before ordering, have an idea of what colors will be featured in your ensemble. Also try to think of the color of jewelry and/or shoes you will be wearing and the style that you would like to achieve with your look (simple, elegant, glamorous, bold, etc.). This information makes it a breeze to coordinate your flowers with the rest of your attire.
- Bring Inspiration Pictures! We welcome customers to bring inspiration pictures in to help us bring your vision to life. Photos of dresses, tuxes and suits, shoes, and jewelry, or corsages and boutonnieres that you have found are great for guiding our designs!
The Design Components
- Flower Choice. Popular flower choices include: full size roses, sweetheart roses, alstroemeria, gerbera daisies, and orchids. We would be happy to discuss other flowers as well if you are searching for something different!
- Filler Flowers and Greenery. Customers often leave this component as designer’s choice – our designers will use fillers and greenery that accentuate your feature flower(s) and coordinate with your color scheme. We are also happy to add specified fillers if you have something special in mind!
- Wristlets. Standard wrist corsages come with a silver elastic wristband. Many customers choose to upgrade from the standard wristband to a beaded one for an extra touch of glamour. We have a variety of upgraded wristlets with different colors and designs to add an extra touch of glamour to your piece! Petite and large wristbands and armbands are also available upon request.
- Ribbon. Ribbon is a standard component of a corsage and is often also a part of boutonnieres (this is called a tie-tuck). Ribbons typically match the color scheme of your outfit and coordinate with your flower choice. We have a plethora of colors and style options including solid, sheer, sparkly, and textured.
- Extra Accessories. We offer many options for customizing your prom pieces. One popular accessory is flower glittering, which can be done in any color to match your color scheme. Other accessories also include rhinestones, gold and silver leaves, feathers, and faux pearls. These extra touches make your pieces unique and tie each component of your look together.
