July’s design of the month Revolutionary Glory is a revolutionary take on the good ol’ red white and blue! The combination of garden flowers and luxury cuts perfectly represents this month’s feature designer Caitlyn, who moved to Iowa City last year after growing up in a country town with a population of 400.
Note from the designer--
First a little about me. I’ve been working at Flowerama for almost a year and it’s just now that I have enough free time to come up with my own signature design! I am studying business management at the University of Iowa as a member of Women in Business. WIB is an organization of a few hundred highly motivated women from the Tippie College of Business (and I was among the top 5 most active members during the Spring 2019 semester!!).
Now for the design itself. The sprawling silhouette of Revolutionary Glory is reminiscent of the fireworks that fill the sky all month long :) The natural blues of the hydrangea and dianthus play into the softer tones of this modern color palette, while the bright raspberry stock works as a bold accent, the white spray roses and veronica add some sophistication, and the Queen Anne’s lace throughout brings the whole thing back to small town Iowa!
