June Design of the Month

Summer Sonata is June’s design of the month, which is inspired by the music that Iowa City relaxes to in the summer. The sun and the summer breeze are perfect for going outside and listening to some of the local music festivals in Iowa City. Our budding designer, Olivia, loves to hear local musicians play while the sweet scent of flowers fills the air.

“As a music major at the University of Iowa, June was the perfect month to head outside and relax. Everything is blooming and full of life, while local musicians helped create a perfect atmosphere with their enthusiasm and creativity. Tamy, the owner of our local Flowerama, has the cheerful guidance and creativity that was essential in helping me capture the feeling of summer blooms and songs.”  

“In Summer Sonata I wanted to have a breezy and soft feeling to celebrate the beginning of summer. The yellow gerber daisies make a melody with coral spray roses and hot pink matsumoto. Spiral eucalyptus and pink larkspur stand in harmony behind the gerber daisies, while blue plurum and feverfew add a sense of whimsy to finish this sunny composition.”

“Summer Sonata” will be featured on our website this June or available from our ten door display cooler for you to stop in and take home!
